Edward Savage, 71
Edward Ernest Savage, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 18, at his home in Clovis.
Mr. Savage was born on Feb. 29, 1932, in Weatherford, Okla., to Horace and Libbie Frazier Savage. He was raised in Portales and came to Clovis in 1974. He married Dorothy May Thompson on Jan. 26, 1951, in Portales.
He was a cement finisher for Valley Transit Mix in Las Cruces and a route driver for Coca Cola in Ruidoso and Clovis. He enjoyed fishing and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eddie Lee Savage (wife Pam) of Amarillo, and Paul Ray Savage (Rose Mary) of Clovis; and one daughter, Eva Nell Leo (Vincent) of Clovis; three brothers, Harvey Savage of Las Cruces, Gene Savage of Linzy, Calif., and R.V. Savage of Albuquerque; and two sisters, Eva Powell of Alamogordo, and Ouida Padilla of Albuquerque. Other survivors are 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Savage, and his parents.
The family requests no flowers be sent. Memorials may be sent to Plains Regional Medical Center and Home Health Care and Hospice, 2217 Dillon St., Clovis 88101.
Cremation will take place today.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Services will be scheduled later.
