Leona Lucus, 99, of Fort Sumner died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at Laurel Ridge Care Center following an illness.

Maria Candeleria Marquez, 69, Clovis, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born April 16, 1934, in Ramadero to Luciano and Francisquita Marquez Garcia.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Florinda Hernandez of Portales, Joan Martinez (and husband Jimmy) of Clovis and Eleanor Payen of Lovington; seven sons, Roy Gallegos (Darlene), Fabian Gallegos (Penny), Ruben Gallegos (Teresa) and Robert Marquez, all of Clovis, Carlos Gallegos (Virginia) of Portales, Joe Gallegos (Maria) of Tulsa, Okla., and Tino Gallegos (Yolanda) of Tucumcari; five sisters, Lola Gonzales, Berna Baca, Maggie Sotelo and Eva Baca, all of Albuquerque, and Angela Padilla of Portales; three brothers, Ralph Garcia and Ricardo Garcia, both of Willard, and Bello Garcia of California; 36 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Willard.
Burial will be at El Rosario Cemetery in Willard.
Pallbearers will be granddaughters.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Willard.
Molly Teague, 64
Molly Teague, 64, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at her home in Portales.
She was born Feb. 6, 2004, in San Antonio, Texas, to Ruby and Walter Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Bob and Wally Rogers; and three sisters, Jean Mays, Betty Mays and Frances Murray.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Teague of Bovina; a son, Chuck (and wife Susan) Teague of Friona; two grandchildren, Lacy Teague and Matthew Teague; a brother, Joe Rogers of Queens, N.M.; two sisters, Ruby McCain and Kathy Vaughn, both of Portales
The Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers are Tabor Smith, Tyler Smith, Jarrett Vaughn, Vicente McCain, Rafael McCain, Geraldo McCain and Luis McCain.
Her father was a trapper and game warden, and the family moved from place to place in New Mexico while she was growing up. When she was 13 or 14 the family settled in Portales. On Sept. 25, 1958, in Portales she was married to Charlie Teague. She and her husband lived in several different locations before settling in Bovina where she lived the majority of her adult life. About 18 months ago she returned to Portales to make her home. Recently she had moved to an apartment in Golden Acres. Family members said she was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
Graveside services are at 3 p.m. (CST) Monday at Friona Cemetery.
