Michael Strader, 47, of Clovis died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1956, in Clovis to Neal and Ellen McCollum Strader.
He was a graduate of Clovis High School and after graduation he moved to Arlington, Texas, where he went to the University of Texas at Arlington. During school he worked for Fieldcrest Service Center and other part-time jobs. In 1981 he moved back to Clovis where he worked for NAPA Auto Parts for seven years and at other places. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Family members said he loved to fish, work on cars and ride motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Survivors include his mother; a brother, Curt Phillips of Princeton, Texas; two sisters, Denise Phillips of Irving, Texas, and Candace Phillips of Portales; two half-brothers, Joel Strader of Normal, Ill., and Steven Strader of Corpus Christi, Texas; and an aunt, Sandra Phillips of Portales.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Graveside services will be held.
Gene and Charlene Phillips will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.

Sofia Rivera — 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Clovis.
