Ruthie Painter, 56
Mrs. Ruthie Mary Beavers Painter, 56, of Texico, Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1948, in Clovis.
She was a lifelong resident of Texico. Family members said she loved to play cards, talk on the phone, spend time with her family and she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Texico.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Beavers; a sister, Frances Kay; and her husband, Carl Quenton Maule.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy Adkins of Portales and Eddie Adkins (and wife, Sherry) of Clovis; a daughter, Tammy Knowlton (John) of Roscoe, Texas; her mother, Wanda Beavers of Clovis; two brothers, Orville Beavers Jr. of Farwell and Tommy Beavers of Edgewood; a sister, Tonia Scales of Clovis; and six grandchildren.
Joseph Vest will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Texico Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Scotty, Joel and Roy Edwards, Craig Tharp, Carroll Smith and David Burch.
Honorary pallbearers are Sarah and Jeremy Scales and her grandchildren, Trenten, Christopher and Tyler Knowlton and Shanel, Jake and Josh Adkins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Lupus Association.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.
