Petra Lucero, 75
Petra Lucero, 75, of Clovis, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born on July 29, 1929, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Aurielo and Piedad Gonzales Martinez.
She was a licensed practical nurse and a member at Santa Clara Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, George Gallegos of Vancouver, Wash.; two grandchildren, Ryan Gallegos and Chelsea Gallegos, both of Seattle; three dear friends, Alfredo and Sally Chavez of Portales and Lou Martinez of Bayard; and a brother-in-law, Rudy Lucero of Silver City.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.

Wilbur Gragg, 85
Mr. Wilbur Thomas Gragg, 85, of Clovis, retired, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2004, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born on April 3, 1919, in Nara Visa in Quay County, to William and Alma Gragg.
He graduated from Nara Visa High School in 1937 and attended Eastern New Mexico University. During World War II he served three years in the United States Army Air Force in the China-Burma-India theater in the 10th Air Force, 9th Bomb Squadron as a crew chief and intelligence officer for B-24 Liberator Bomber missions. After the war he returned to Portales. He worked for Amarillo Hardware Company for 34 years as a wholesale hardware salesman covering Eastern New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, A. Morton, Maurice and Jim Gragg; and two sisters, Lois Gragg and Ruth Fredrickson.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Ann Gragg; a brother, Ralph Gragg (and wife, Nell) of Albuquerque; a sister-in-law, Virginia Gragg of Dallas; six children, Ruxell Gragg Keeler of Phoenix, Marlys Gragg Euscher of Austin, Texas, Stuart Wilson of Atlanta, Kerry Gragg of Sacramento, Calif., Ellen Wilson Call of Albuquerque and Steven Gragg of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Brad Reeves will officiate the services.
Masonic Rites will be conducted by Portales Lodge #26 A.F.&A.M.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Tucumcari Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers are all of his friends at the Clovis Shrine Club, Clovis Lodge No. 40 A.F.&A.M. and the Men’s Bible Class
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Children’s Hospital, 6600 Zuni SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, the Kingswood United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

Spencer Drew Kube, 20
Spencer Drew Kube, 20, of Texico, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, in Quay County.
He was born on June 8, 1984, at Cannon Air Force Base.
He was a technician for General Electric Wind Energy Division and a member of the Texico Volunteer Fire Department.
Family members said he loved music, computers and his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Martin Kube; and his great-grandmother, “Nanny” Elva Warren.
Survivors include his mother, Shannon Burrows of Texico; his father, David Kube of Texico; a brother, Tanner Kube of Texico; his grandparents, Jim and Carolyn Burrows of Texico; his grandmother, Frances Kube of Farwell, Orville “Grandpa Doc” Dockter of Bloomfield; four uncles, Chet Burrows and family of Olney, Texas, Bret Burrows and family of Palmer Lake, Colo., Wayne Kube and family of Plano, Texas, and Bryan Kube of Austin, Texas; and his girlfriend, Kasey Adams of Farwell.
Services are scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Educational Complex Auditorium at Texico High School. R.L. Richards and the Rev. Rob Hollis will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
