Friday: Parent/Student flag football game at 6 p.m. at Conqueror Field. Hamburger meals will be sold for $5 for adults and $3 for children. This will include a hamburger, chips, drink, and brownie. Parents, this is a great opportunity to meet the teachers and to get to know the school better. Prizes will be awarded after the flag football game.
Oct. 8: Conquerors travel to Logan for a football game at 6 p.m.
Oct. 9: Faith Triumphant Christian School will have a float in the Eastern New Mexico University Homecoming parade. The float will carry FTCS students and teachers. We would like as many of our students as possible to participate. We will be supplying a new purple and silver t-shirt to our students as a gift. All your student will need to bring is one large bag of candy for throwing to the crowd along the parade route.
Oct. 15: Annual talent show in the church sanctuary. Students can enter the contest by singing, dancing, performing with a puppet, doing a circus trick, or anything else that showcases a talent. The fun will start at 7 p.m. and will conclude with finger foods in the school cafeteria.
Oct. 16: Conquerors travel to Holy Cross Amarillo for a football game at noon (MST).
The High School film class is continuing to work on their documentary project. If you have any information about Roosevelt County that you might be able to contribute, please call the office and ask to speak with Todd Terry.
Don’t forget to check our website at http://www.ftcs-online.org for pictures and calendar updates. We’ve already added pictures from the new school year. Parents and friends, if during the year you have any pictures to share with us from a school-sponsored event, we’d appreciate it. We will scan them and get them back to you immediately. We will be able to use the pictures for our first ever video yearbook.
