Zias drop LSC South opener at Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State got 23 kills from Lynelle Morelan and 18 from Nicole Stoffel Thursday night and outlasted Eastern New Mexico University 31-29, 26-30, 30-28, 22-30, 15-10 in the Lone Star Conference South Division volleyball opener for both teams.
The Rambelles (14-4) had 14 aces, led by Morelan with four and Stoffell and Lindsey Jones with three each, to five for the Zias (12-4).
ENMU put five players in double figures in kills, led by senior Anna Bellum with 17, and in digs, topped by senior Jessica Weeks with 21.
