Oct. 3 Elida School News

A heartfelt “thank you” goes out to the members of the Elida PTO for their hard work and dedication.  Each year the annual book fair hosted by the PTO supplies the elementary library with a wide variety of new books. We appreciate your efforts, and the students are always excited about the new additions to our collection.

FFA fund-raiser
Tori Bilberry, Elida Future Farmers of America reporter, reports that the Elida FFA is selling cookie dough and smoked meat as a fundraiser this fall. Proceeds from the fund-raiser are used to pay members’ entry fees and motel expenses at FFA Career Development events.
The Elida chapter will also host the District 4 Creed and Quiz contest on Oct. 18 at 3:30 p.m.

Math-a-thon Monday
Elida Elementary will hold a Math-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event, scheduled to begin Monday is being coordinate by Elida Elementary. By supporting the participants of the event, you will help raise funds for the internationally recognized hospital. These funds will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood catastrophic diseases.
