“I live one day at a time so I take life as it comes and live it to the fullest.”

“My parents are Billie and Willie Gregg. They live in Amarillo and I think they’re the best! My mom is my best friend and my father is the best father I could ever wish for.”

Who is your hero and why?
“Our soldiers for fighting for our country. Our teachers for striving for our children to have a better education. Our nurses for taking care of people that are in need.”

What is your greatest hope?
“Because I have a close family, I hope my friends and family will always remain close to one another.”

If money were no object, what would you do to make the world a better place?
“I would make everyone the same, having no one poor and no one rich.”

Tell us about your greatest individual accomplishment:
“I was the supervisor of computer operations at ENMU for 28 years until I retired in 2001. I consider this an accomplishment because few people are able to stay in one place for that long and I did. I learned so much.”

When you were a kid, what did you think you’d be doing as an adult?
“What I am now, at 50 years-old, and a kid at heart.”

If I could do anything, I would…
“Help others less fortunate than myself by paying the bills of elderly people. I would also make sure they had plenty of food to eat.”

Tell us about a happy time:
“When my children were born and having Johnny, my husband, with me.”

What is your favorite TV show, past and present?
“Present, According to Jim. Past, Dallas”

“Jesus Loves Me.”

What’s your idea of a perfect day?
“A cigarette, fishing pole, a lot of worms and Ute Lake.”

What do you like about your job?
“It’s fun. I like the people that I work with and it’s something different than what I was doing at ENMU before I retired.”

Tell us about your spouse:
“Johnny and I have been married 27 wonderful years. He is my best friend and soul mate. He’s always laughing. When I hear him laugh, it makes me happy knowing that he feels good.”

Tell about a time you were nervous:
“The first time I had to get on a plane. My heart was beating 90 mph. I wasn’t going to throw up, but I was nervous.”

What is something that brings you great joy?
“I enjoy summer weekends at the lake and yard work.”

If you could redo one moment in life, what would it be? Why?
“I would get a college education. Had I taken the opportunity to get an education, things would have been easier.”

“I have a kind heart.”
