The Chapter Officers participated in Chapter Officer Leadership Training at ENMU. The State FFA Officers conducted leadership training for the chapter officers from the 11 District IV Chapters.
The following students also exhibited animals at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair in Roswell: Brittany and Adam Burns and Casie Kropp (pigs); Abel Martinez (pigs); Seth Daniels (pigs); Blake Comanse (pigs); W. T. White cotton (pigs); Orrie Spinks (pigs); Darcee, Chay and Chet Chenault (lambs); Jewlie and Codi Paiz (steers and lambs); Brandi and Sixto Paiz (steers and pigs).
Red ribbon week
This week is Drug Free-Red Ribbon Week. There will be many events going on at the school for this:
Monday: Decorating Day. Decorating the campus with posters and ribbons, followed by a talk by Carol Morgan from the Health Department for Elementary students, and by pastor Darryl Tenefos for the High School students.
Tuesday: Pledge Day. Students, parents and staff are encouraged to pledge to be drug free.
Wednesday: Red Rally Day. Wear the color Red! Also the middle school will be having an Essay Contest. Winners will dress Mrs. Montoya and Mrs. Gibson crazy.
Thursday: Red Ribbon Day. NHS members will hand out red ribbons.
Friday: Drug Free is No Sweat For Me Day. Wear sweatshirts and pants. Elementary will have a balloon release.
