Memorials
There were two young boys who lost their lives last Saturday night near Dora. Dathan Garcia, 17 was from Tucumcari, a student in Logan School. His services were in Tucumcari on Thursday morning. He was the son of Danny and Janie Garcia and service were at St. Anne’s Catholic Church there at 9 a.m. and then at 11 a.m. in the Logan Gymnasium.
Aaron LaRue, 17, was a student in the Dora School. He was formerly of Arch and wanted to continue school here when his mom and step-dad moved to Tucson. He was a member of the Arch Baptist Church but his funeral was in the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Portales. He was buried in Clovis.
These young men were exceptional and their lives were lost in an accident. They will be greatly missed by all who knew them. We extend our love and sympathy to their families in their loss. Also, to the families of the other three teens hospitalized because of it all.
We wish for each of them a complete recovery.
