Elida posts pair of wins over House

ELIDA — Freshman Wesley Gilmore scored 26 points Thursday night as Elida’s boys posted a 60-45 victory over House in the Tigers’ Homecoming game.
Dylan Radcliff added 14 points and Thomas West 11 for Elida (9-6), which led 10-4 at the quarter and built its lead to 15 points by the end of the third period.
Gilmore had three 3-pointers for the Tigers. Junior Nathan Foust scored 25 points for the Cowboys (4-9), hitting four of his team’s six 3-pointers.
Elida also won the girls contest, beating House 47-22.
Elida (9-5) broke the game open by outscoring the Cowgirls 15-1 in the third quarter to build a 24-point lead.
Senior Adrienne Coe led a balanced attack for Elida with 13 points, while junior Kodi Armitage added 10. The Lady Tigers got scoring contributions from nine players.
Junior Lindsy Lee did most of the damage for the Cowgirls (5-8), scoring 17 points.
