Upcoming events
• There will be no school Monday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
• Floyd Country Jamboree tryouts are Jan. 23rd at 2pm in the Old Gym.

• Tuesday: all girls and boys junior high, junior varsity and varsity teams vs. Ft. Sumner, 4 p.m.
• Friday: HOMECOMING, all girls and boys junior high, junior varsity and varsity teams vs. Elida, 4 p.m.

This week is Homecoming. The theme this year is Hula “Hoops”. For Spirit Week, each day has the following themes for dressing up:
Tuesday: Hawaiian Day
Wednesday: Hoops and Lei Day (Contest for most creative lei)
Thursday: Hat and Shades Day
Friday: Red, White and Blue day.
The Student Council will be selling real leis from Hawaii. Prices range from $20-30. Please see Judy Chandler in the library for order forms. Last day to order is Monday.

Representatives from Eastern New Mexico University will be at the school Thursday to speak to the seniors from 9:05-9:55. Also on Thursday, there will be a FASFA training in the library at 6 p.m. Representatives from ENMU’s financial aid office and educational talent search will be here to assist parents and students in filling out the FASFA forms.

Yearbooks for the 2004-05 year are now on sale. Prices are $30 (includes name stamp) until Spring Break. Then the price goes up to $35. Please see Dawn Bilbrey or a member of the yearbook staff. This year’s yearbook editors are Jonathan Chavez and Noel Carpenter.
Also, seniors need to have pictures turned in to the yearbook. Two wallets and one baby picture are needed, as well as parent dedications, by Jan. 25.

Booster club news
The Booster Club is also selling tickets for a quilt giveaway. The quilt features embroidered blocks of the academic and athletic activities sponsored by the Booster Club. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets can be bought at the home basketball games. The quilt will be given away at the Athletic Banquet in May.
