April 6 Dora News

By Charlie Carmichael

The time changed Sunday for daylight-savings. I don’t know of anyone who was late Sunday morning because they forgot.

Baby shower
There will be a baby shower in the Baptist Church fellowship hall on April 23 at 2:30 p.m. This will be for the new baby due soon to Danielle Woodruff. She and her husband have moved to our community in one of Rodney Thetford houses. He is working for Tom Cox on the ranch down southwest of Hiway.

Bake sale
The Children in Action will have a bake sale to help support John and Kim Piepmeer with mission work in Kiana, Al. This will be on Sunday in the Baptist fellowship hall.

Improving
Ross Turnbough had ankle repair in Lubbock Friday and came home from the hospital Sunday and is doing great.
Blake Inge is home from having surgery and improving.
Wanda Richards is now in rehab in Clovis.
Kenneth Victor is home improving after heart surgery.
Kristi Ledbetter is doing fine now and is hopeful that she can have her kidney transplant soon.

Congratulations
To our Dora FFA teams on winning sweepstakes at the State competion. Complete details will be in an upcoming school news column.
