LUBBOCK — Twelve players who are planning to walk on in football at Eastern New Mexico University are slated to participate in the first West Texas Football Classic, a benefit game set for June 4 at Lowery Field.
Playing for the North squad are Tyler Caffey of Plains, Omar Jordan and Randy McBrewer of Lubbock High, Casey Bigham of New Deal, Aaron Smith and Robert Bueno of Seagraves, Steven Caballero of Frenship and Jared Bell of Dimmitt.
Members of the South squad include A.J. Samuels of Slaton, Omar Villarreal of Lubbock High, Angel Beanes of Hart and Tim Hall of Littlefield.
The game will raise money to benefit players permanently injured playing football, organizers said.
