Benefit dinner June 17
The Community Services Center will be hosting its annual United Way benefit dinner June 17. The dinner will be at the CSC’s Senior Meal Site from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets are $6 per adult and $4 per child (12 and under), and customers may choose either dine-in or take-out options. The menu will include barbecue brisket and sausage, potato salad, coleslaw, beans, rolls, dessert and tea or coffee.
To purchase tickets, contact teh center at 356-8576, ext. 10. All proceeds benefit the United Way.

Internship deadline extended
ALBUQUERQUE — U.S. Senator Pete Domenici announced that his Washington, D.C. office has extended the application deadline for paid fall internship positions in his office. The new deadline to apply is July 1.
Domenici’s 2005 program will run from mid-September to mid-December. Depending on the student’s schedule, the start and end dates are flexible. Students who are either New Mexico residents or attending a two or four-year school in the state are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have completed as least one year of study at an institution of higher learning. New Mexico residents and/or students will receive priority in the selection process. Students participating in the program during past years have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and schools, including universities, community colleges, and vocational schools from inside and outside New Mexico.

Applications must be postmarked by July 1. Interviews and selections will take place during the first part of July.
