Elwanda Mieas, 70
Services: Memorial services are planned in Lubbock.
Elwanda Williams Mieas, 70, of Lubbock, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1935, in Portales, to Clifton and Ineta Williams.

She lived in Clovis a number of years and worked for a lawyer and at the Allsups offices. She moved to Lubbock in 1985 and worked for an insurance company.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Dover of Dallas; a son, Lonnie Mieas of Lubbock; a sister, Jerri Miller of Clovis; three granddaughters; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Billy Don Miller of Taos and Wesley Miller of Utah.

Brent Marshall, 41
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Netherwood Park Church of Christ in Albuquerque.
Brent Ernest Marshall, 41, of Rio Rancho, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1964, in Portales, to W. Ernest and Carolyn Marshall.

He graduated from Portales High School in 1982 and received an associates degree in 1985 from Eastern New Mexico University. He was employed as a manufacturing technician at Intel in Rio Rancho. He was a member and deacon in charge of building maintenance at Rio Rancho Church of Christ. Family members said he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and camping.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Marshall.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Lynell Marshall of Rio Rancho; his parents; his children, Stephanie Grace and Emily Renee; a brother, Y. Layne Marshall (and wife, Serena) and their daughter, Masey, all of Rio Rancho; his grandmother, Imogene “Gene” Marshall of Portales; his father- and mother-in-law, Ralph and Luella Ardrey of Albuquerque; and three sisters-in-law, Luann Marpel (Dwight) and their children, Brian and Stacey, all of Albuquerque, Lynda Gompert (Kent) and their son, Jordan, all of Surprise, Ariz., and Marion Ardrey and her children, Justin, Jessica, and Jacob, all of Newport, Ark.
Joe McDaniel, A. David Bennett, and Walter Lane will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
Pallbearers are Billy McCarty, Jeff Morris, Alan Harrington, Garrett and Logan Marshall, and Billy Clabaugh.
