ALBUQUERQUE — Sophomore Felix Boit led a balanced Eastern New Mexico University men’s performance Saturday as the Greyhounds finished eighth in the 14-team Lobo Invitational cross country meet, hosted by the University of New Mexico.

Meantime, the ENMU women finished 12th out of 13 teams. Division II power Adams State swept both team titles.

Boit posted a time of 27 minutes, 26 seconds, placing 60th in a field of 159 runners in the eight-kilometer run. ENMU put four runners between 60th and 77th place.

Leading the Zias in the 6K women’s race was Krista Monaghan, 72nd in a time of 25:24.

“The guys ran a perfect race,” ENMU cross country coach Joel McMullen said. “We had set certain pace goals and split goals, and we reached all of them.

The women ran a really good race, light years ahead of what we did here last year. We were very happy with the individual performances.”
