Group to hold annual used book sale
Thousands of used books will be available at bargain prices at the annual Friends of the Portales Public Library used book sale this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the meeting room of the library at 218 South Avenue B.

All proceeds from the sale, which is the group’s largest annual fund raiser, are used to support activities at the Portales Public Library throughout the year.

The sale will be open from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and from 8 a.m. until mid-day on Saturday.

Sealed bids for a minimum of $100 will be taken through noon Saturday at the front desk of the library for all unsold books from the sale. The winning bidder will be responsible for removing the used books from the library at a mutually agreed upon time and date.

Donations of used books to the sale may be made to the library any day during regular business hours. For more information, call the Portales Public Library at 356-3940.
