Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls taken by Portales Police Department in the last week. According to the reports:

Nov. 10
• At 7:42 a.m. a caller on South Avenue I reported a busted window on their vehicle. A burglary report was taken by police. Items taken were not noted on the report.
• At 8:04 a.m. a caller reported the windows busted on their vehicle on North Juniper Street. A criminal damage report was taken.
Nov. 12
• At 9:26 a.m. a two-car auto accident with several injured persons was reported on East First Street. One of the vehicles ended up running into a house.

Nov. 13
• At 10:54 p.m. a caller reported a burglary on East Rose Lane.
• At 12:01 a.m. a caller reported a burglary on West Second Street.
Monday
• At 11:43 p.m. a caller reported a small grass fire near mile marker 54 on N.M. 206 near Dora.

Tuesday
• At 9:39 a.m. A one-vehicle rollover was reported on Roosevelt Road 33 10 miles south of Dora. No injuries were noted in the report.

Wednesday
• At 4:28 a.m. a caller on 17th Lane advised police that someone had placed a tombstone on the back of his wife’s car.
• At 6:34 a.m. an auto accident blocking one lane of traffic at U.S. 70 and Kilgore Avenue was reported
• At 6:42 a.m. police received a report of a vehicle stolen on North Toledo. The report noted it was a 2000 Mustang.
• At 12:28 p.m. a caller reported a residence on N.M. 236 had been broken into.
• At 2:32 p.m. police investigated an assault and battery case on Community Way.
