CANYON, Texas — Riikka Lehtonen poured in 11 of her game-high 18 points off the bench during a decisive second-half run as Eastern New Mexico University remained unbeaten by beating Fort Lewis 71-50 Saturday in the SBC/Coca-Cola Thanksgiving Classic.
Senior Tiana Bryant added 12 points and 16 rebounds for the Zias (4-0) while junior Elizabeth Richards continue her strong play with her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Amie Moulton scored 11 points for Fort Lewis (1-3), which went cold in the second half and finished the game shooting 29 percent from the field.
Eastern shot 40 percent from the field and outrebounded Fort Lewis 50-39.
Rosalyn Elliott also had a strong game off the bench for the Zias, scoring nine points in 13 minutes, including a 3-pointer in ENMU’s 22-4 second-half run.
Eastern led by as many as 15 points in the first half before Fort Lewis clawed to within 36-31 at halftime.
Eastern beat Montana State-Billings 82-67 Friday in the four-team tournament.
