Bio-diesel promoter in Clovis
Calvin Hildebrand of Energy Conversion Corp., will be in Clovis at 9 a.m. Friday upstairs at the Clovis Chamber of Commerce, 215 N. Main to meet with anyone who has further interest in bio-diesel production in Clovis. This can be potential investors or others that might have an interest in by-products, such as water, or in the impact on the local community and agricultural interests.

Phones out at Community Center
The phone system will be temporarily out of order at the Portales Community Services Center this week. Vonnie Banther, CSC administrative assistant said the center will operate its normal hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
She said people can come in to the center at 1100 Community Way and schedule a ride from the Portales Area Transit system or for any other questions. People can call 760-3741 to schedule a PAT ride.

World Aids Day marked in Clovis
World Aids Day will be commemorated in the Portales/Clovis area this week. From 9 a. m. to 3 p.m. Thursday Llano Estacado Metropolitan Community Church along with The Alliance and Alianza will provide an educational event in the Campus Union Building at Eastern New Mexico University.
At 11 a.m. Sunday a HIV/AIDS service of remembrance will take place at Llano Estacado MCC at 119 W. Fourth St. in Clovis. Everyone is welcome.
