Police arrested a 17-year-old Friday in connection with a Christmas Eve rape and kidnapping of a Clovis woman, according to a release from the Clovis Police Department.
The 40-year-old victim identified her alleged attacker from police photos, Clovis Police Lt. James Schoeffel said.
The name of the accused was not released by police.
The woman’s attacker was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighed 350 pounds, police have said.
The woman told police the subject entered her home to smoke marijuana, then taped her mouth, beat her, trapped her in a closet, and repeatedly raped her.
The suspect is being held at the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center, accused of kidnapping, two counts of sexual penetration, criminal sexual contact, and aggravated assault, the release said.
