WEATHERFORD, Texas — The Eastern New Mexico women’s rodeo team finished fourth while the men were 12th in the Weatherford College Rodeo over the weekend.

ENMU’s Tyrell Flewelling, competing with Kyle Roberts of New Mexico Junior College, finished second in team roping.
Also for the men, Max Fortmuller tied for third in bullriding.
On the women’s side, Kelcey Foreman placed fourth in goat tying and Dana Lewis finished eighth in barrel racing.

Coach David Browder said he would have liked to seen the teams finish a little higher.

“I was pleased with our overall performance,” Browder said. “But because this was our first rodeo of the semester, I think it was a little bit of lack of focus.

“I think we’ll get back to where we were at the end of the last semester once we get a little healthier and focus.”
