TATUM — Floyd’s girls ran away to the team title on Saturday in the Tatum Relays, beating out six other teams.
The Lady Bronchos won 10 events, including two relays. Their eight individual wins included three for junior Jordan Paul, two each for senior Kelli Johnson and freshman Kelsi Gray and one for eighth-grader Bree Lancaster.
Paul won the 800 in 2 minutes, 38.71 seconds, a state qualifying time, and also took the 200 in 28.56 seconds and the 400 in 1:06.55.
Gray posted wins in the 100 in 13.19 and long jump at 14-10, the former a state-qualifying mark. Meantime, Johnson wqas a winner in the 1,600 in 6:09.84 and the 3,200 in 13:42.02.
Lancaster’s victory came in high jump, where she cleared 4 feet, 6 inches.
The Lady Broncos also claimed wins in the 1,600 medley relay, with a time of 5:08.62, and in the 1,600 relay in a time of 4:40.33. They finished second in both the 400 and 800 relays.
