Deputy Jeff Wilkerson said today he is still investigating a shooting incident which occured about 11 p.m. Saturday on the Floyd highway. He said an argument apparently erupted at a local drive-in parking lot, and when one of the participants departed in his car, the others followed in his car. Several shots were fired with both a shotgun and a 22 rifle when the vehicles were on the South Floyd road, Wilkerson said, and the pursued vehicle was hit several times, but no one was injured. Wilkerson said that five or six cars were involved in some manner, several juveniles and two adults. He expected to serve warrents on some of the participants today.
