Finals week begins
After a finals review day on Monday this week, students in grades 7-11 will take semester final exams each day, Tuesday through Thursday.
Exam schedules are available in the school office. Students are encouraged to be in school each day on time and well rested, said administration officials.

Accelerated reader goal met
Students in grades K-6 recently met their goal of earning over 2,000 accelerated reading points.
Patia O’Connor, sixth grade teacher, reports that these students will all be treated to an afternoon of fun and outdoor games on Tuesday, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, as a reward for their hard work.

Academic banquet
Dora students, parents, and staff will be celebrating the accomplishments of students in grades 6-12 during the 2006-07 year at a banquet Tuesday, May 15.
A potluck style meal will begin at 5:30 pm in the Luscombe Gymnasium, with the awards ceremony to follow.

Elementary awards
Dora elementary students who have excelled during the 2006-07 school year will be honored at an awards assembly at 8:10 a.m. Thursday in the school auditorium.

Early release
All Dora students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Buses will run at 12:45 p.m.

Records purgings
Former students who were born from 1977 to 1984 and who received Special Education services during their school years at Dora Consolidated Schools may come by the administration office to pick up their records. Any Special Education records that are not given to students will be destroyed after May 29.

Graduation May 20
The graduation ceremonies for the Dora Class of 2007 will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Dora Luscombe Gymnasium.
