Paving projects to begin
Chip seal paving crews from the New Mexico Department of Transportation will begin work on approximately 66 miles of state highway in Roosevelt County beginning Monday, according to a press release from NMDOT. Work is expected to be complete by the end of September.
Highways where work will take place include N.M. 88, N.M. 202 and N.M. 267, with work proceeding in that order, according to NMDOT.
According to the release, motorists can expect delays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lane closures will be made in three-mile increments.
The projects are expected to prolong the life of the highway and provide a smoother surface, according to the release.
