Background: For five years, Berry was a supervisor of dispatch at the Portales Police Department prior to working at the church.
Q. Describe what your job entails.
A. Meeting people, setting up appointments, setting up building reservations, creating the church newsletter, maintaining all the Sunday School records, printing the newsletter and bulletin, answering phones, greeting people and getting items from the food pantry for those who need it.
Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?
A. A typical day is doing office work, clerical work, meeting people, greeting people and helping people.
Q. Why did you choose this job?
A. For helping people.
Q. What type of training do you need for your job?
A. You’ve gotta know how to do secretarial work and know computer programs.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?
A. People, helping people. It’s fun, I get to meet all kinds of people and talk to them.
