Turkey dinner set for Nov. 4
The Elida United Methodist Women’s annual turkey dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Elida High School cafeteria.
The menu includes turkey, stuffing, potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls, pumpkin pie and beverage. Take-outs are available.
Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Harvest Festival Wednesday
Central Christian Church will host a Harvest Festival from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Halloween night. Games, prizes, pizza, candy, an air jumper, Bingo for the adults and a fire pit will be available to the community. The festival is open to all ages and families. Don’t forget to come dressed in costume.

Saturday veterans program planned
The program “Honoring God, Country, Veterans” will be held at 7:40 a.m. Saturday at the Southside Church of Christ, 221 W. 18th St., Portales.
Guest speaker is David McVey, minister of the Central Christian Church in Portales. The program will also feature the American Legion Honor Guard and special music and prayer leaders from a variety of churches.
A men’s breakfast will precede the program at 7 a.m. All ages are welcome. The breakfast is free.
