Honor Society to hold induction
Chapters of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society will hold an induction on Thursday following the Elementary Veterans Day program that begins at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Amelia Bilbrey, Megan Collins, Santana Chavez, Kendra Merrick and Kayla Cox will be conducting the ceremony. All parents and community members are invited to attend.
To be eligible for membership consideration, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5. Additionally, potential members must meet high standards of leadership, service, citizenship and character. This year 22 students will be inducted for membership in the societies: Megan Bumguardner, Kyler Smith, Ethan Bilbrey, McKenzie Buzard, Renee Gantert, Kelsi King, Jordan McConnell, Zac Teston, Tori Varnell, Savannah Bonds, Chelsea Gantert, Shaun Banther, Logan Bilbrey, Layni Breshears, Aubrey Butler, Gowan Hays, Shelby Wall, Rachael Cox, Erika Danbom, Jasi Roberts, Averi Skelley, and Jake Tayler.

Veterans Day program scheduled
Nancy Jones, fine arts teacher, and the Dora kindergarten through seventh grade music students will celebrate Veterans Day with a special program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the school auditorium. It is free of charge.
Alumni dinner, game set
Ty Thatcher, athletic director and boys basketball coach, and girls basketball coach Mal Webster, are preparing for this Friday’s annual basketball fundraiser games. At 5 p.m. a brisket dinner will be served followed by the Dora Lady Coyotes playing the lady alumni team. Immediately following, the Dora Coyotes will play the mens alumni team. Tickets covering the dinner and both games are $12 for adults and $8 for students age 10-and-under. Tickets may be purchased from any varsity basketball player or at the door.
