RICHARDSON, Texas — West Texas A&M, Abilene Christian, Tarleton State and Midwestern State dominated the Lone Star Conference South Division this fall, and those four teams also dominated the All-LSC South first and second squads.
They combined for 59 of the 65 spots on the first and second teams, led by Abilene Christian with 17.
Meantime, Texas A&M-Kingsville earned four of the remaining berths while Angelo State and Eastern New Mexico University had one each — sophomore Brandon Haug was the Greyhounds’ representive, making the second team as a punter.
Haug was also one of eight Hounds selected for honorable mention, making it as an inside linebacker. Other ENMU players on the list included freshman center Ryan Torres, junior defensive end Kyle Wilson, senior inside linebacker Tony Johnson, senior outside linebacker Kenneth Odie, sophomore outside linebacker Texavier Henry, senior cornerback Jimmy Wright and junior safety Jeremy Hibbler.
South and LSC overall champion WT and Abilene Christian, who will represent the league in the NCAA Division II playoffs starting on Saturday, each earned four of the 10 special awards given out by the league, while Tarleton State had two.
