ENMU closed for Thanksgiving
Eastern New Mexico University will be closed for the Thanksgiving Break Thursday through Sunday.
The Golden Library will re-open on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., then observe regular hours on Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. The computer center will observe regular hours on the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Million has article published
Phillip Million, professor of communicative disorders, has received notification of an article accepted for publication in the December 2007 edition of Advance for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Student wins piano competition
Matthew Monteverde, a sophomore piano performance major from Hobbs, has won the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico Collegiate Honors Competition in piano for the second year in a row. He performed a polonaise by Fredrick Chopin during the state convention held on the campus of San Juan College in Farmington.

History professor to be published
Peggy Hardman’s biography of “Josephine Groves Holloway” will be published in the forthcoming edition of the African American National Biography (Oxford University Press). In the 1920s, Holloway founded the first African American Girl Scout troop in Tennessee. Hardman is an assistant professor of history.
Students receive CPA scholarships
Tabatha Denton, Lindsey Sullivan, Mark Van Nieuwkoop and Rubi Jacquez, College of Business students, received accounting scholarships from the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants at their Pride luncheon in Albuquerque Nov. 9.
