Background: Before El Rancho opened in 1989, Holguin worked as a caretaker for an elderly lady for about 10 years. She has also been in the restaurant business since the 1970’s.
Q. What does your job entail?
A. Making sure that customers are getting served and getting the right service. Scheduling servers.
Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?
A. Sometimes I’m a server, other times a hostess or cashier; answer phones and take orders.
Q. Why did you choose this job?
A. It’s a family business
Q. What type of training do you need for your job?
A. Well, mainly just being able to be a people person and the ability to get along with customers and co-workers.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?
A. Being with the customers. I love talking to people. I just love my customers. I like being around people and food.
