The following dispositions were recently filed in the Roosevelt County District Court:
• Freddie Joe Dominguez, 25, pleaded guilty to the charges of Count I: Aggravated assault (deadly weapon), a fourth-degree felony, Count II: Possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon, a fourth degree felony, Count 3: Unlawful carrying of a firearm in a licensed liquor establishment, a fourth-degree felony, Count 4: Tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony, Count 5: Negligent use of a deadly weapon (intoxication), a petty misdemeanor, Count 6: Resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor, and was ordered to serve five years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections, followed by five years of supervised probation, enter into and successfully complete any counseling pay restitution as deemed fair by the Adult Probation/Parole Office and pay court fees and fines.
• Leta Chacon, 38, pleaded guilty to the charge of forgery, a third degree felony, and was ordered to serve 18 months supervised probation, pay restitution and court fees and fines.
• Dewayne Brooks, 35, pleaded no contest to the charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and was ordered to serve 274 days in the Roosevelt County Detention Center. Credit will be given for time served from Feb. 5, 2007 to Nov. 6, 2007.
