• Monday — Dora Junior High hosts Clovis Yucca at 4 p.m.
• Thursday — Dora varsity boys at Tularosa Classic Tourney

Elementary Christmas program set
Nancy Jones, Dora fine arts teacher, and the kindergarten through fifth-grade classes, will present “The Littlest Christmas Tree” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dora school auditorium. Admission is free to this musical play, which tells the story of why all trees want to be chosen as Santa’s Christmas tree.
Refreshments will be served after the one hour program. The performance is open to the public.

BPA competes at regionals
The Dora Chapter of BPA will participate in the Region 2 Leadership Conference at Clovis Community College on Dec. 15. Nineteen members will compete in various team and individual events.
The team events include:
Parliamentary Procedure Team: Santana Chavez, Chelsea Gantert, Deserai Haraughty, Jordan Inge, Kelsi King, Kendra Merrick, and Tori Varnell
Presentation Management Team: McKenzie Buzard, Megan Collins, and Julissa Melendez
Video Production Team: Ashlyn Myers, Katlain Phillips, and Alexis Villanueva
Web Design Team: Amelia Bilbrey, Ethan Bilbrey, and Zac Teston.
Individual contestants are: Chelsea Gantert, Spreadsheet Applications and Analysis; Deserai Haraughty, Prepared Speech; Jordan Inge, Desktop Publishing; Gabriela Marquez, Fundamental Word Processing; Kelli Merrick, Advanced Word Processing; Ashlyn Myers, Medical Office Procedures; Katlain Phillips, Medical Office Procedures; Alexis Villanueva, Desktop Publishing; McKenzie Buzard, Graphic Design Promotion; Kelsi King, Integrated Office Applications; Zac Teston, PC Servicing and Troubleshooting; Tori Varnell, Advanced Word Processing; Reyna Lopez, Interview Skills and Legal Office Procedures; Amelia Bilbrey, Fundamental Accounting; and Ethan Bilbrey, Extemporaneous Speech. Students placing in each contest will advance to the State Leadership Conference in Albuquerque in February.
