Portales Police Department officers nabbed a suspected burglar inside a Portales business early Friday.
According to a PPD press release, officers were called to the Hudson CPA office at 712 W. First Street about 12:20 a.m. Friday after neighbors called saying they heard glass breaking and loud voices in the area.
Finding a broken window and an open door at the business, police secured the perimeter and went inside.
Officers found Kevin Nanez, 17, hiding inside the business. He was arrested and charged with burglary. He was booked and released to the custody of his mother, according to the release.
