Selective Service System has opening for board member

The Selective Service System has an opening for a volunteer to serve with its Roosevelt County local board.

Local board members are citizen volunteers appointed by the director of the Selective Service System, on recommendations made by their respective state governors or an equivalent public official.

Local board members go through an initial training session followed by annual training in Selective Service regulations and procedures.

Anyone interested in this position must be a U.S. citizen, a Roosevelt County resident, at least 18 years old and not regular, National Guard, reserve members of the Armed Forces, or retired military.
