2-10-08 Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls placed to Portales police dispatchers over the last week. According to the reports:

Sunday
• At 6:54 p.m. a caller reported three teenagers in her ally on Oakwood Circle and she didn’t know if they were supposed to be there.

• At 8:03 p.m. a caller stated he heard two gun shots in the area of South Avenue E.

• At 9:28 p.m. a caller stated he heard a loud noise, then noticed the window of her car was broken out on South Avenue B.

• At 9:50 p.m. a caller stated a man had broken into her apartment. on South Boulder. The caller advised that she confronted the man about the incident and he admitted to credit-carding the door to get in.

Monday
• At 10.26 p.m. a caller reported several rifle shots from the area of Knoxville near trailer houses.

• At 11:42 p.m. a caller stated that when they arrived home, their dog was missing in the area of U.S. 70.

Tuesday
• At 11:09 a.m. a caller reported that someone tried to tear down their fence overnight in the area of South Avenue B.

• At 11:13 a.m. a caller reported a male subject walking down U.S. 70 and it appeared that he had a gun.

Wednesday
• At 8:14 a.m. a caller reported that her vehicle was broken into in the area of West First Street.

• At 3:59 p.m. a caller advised that from Feb. 8 through Feb. 16, subjects will be shooting blanks in the area of Buchanan Hall on the campus of Eastern New Mexico University practicing for a play.

• At 5:22 p.m. a caller reported that there was a pit bull on the loose in the area of South Avenue H, and it had attacked one dog. The caller was concerned it might attack someone.

• At 10:06 p.m. a caller reported his bike stolen from outside his residence in the area of West 16th Street.

Thursday
• At 2:38 p.m. a caller reported that a subject may have broken into her residence on West 29th Street.

• At 10:30 p.m. a caller said it sounded like someone fired several rounds (from a gun) in her back yard in the area of East Danube.

Friday
• At 12:52 a.m. a caller drove up on suspicious activity in the area of West 29th.

• At 1:36 a.m. a caller reported people outside smoking marijuana in the area of West 17th Street.
