Student research awards announced

The 34th Annual Student Research Conference on Tuesday at Eatern New Mexico University’s College of Business featured 44 presentations.

Students compete for cash awards in nine categories at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students may enter research papers/projects in biological sciences, business, communication, communication disorders, English, Hispanic studies, humanities and social sciences,

mathematics and computer sciences and physical sciences.

The winners in the 2008 Student Research Conference by category are:

Business: Jay Cheney, an undergraduate working with Dr. David Hemley.

Communication: Tamara Palmer, a graduate student working with Dr. Anthony Schroeder.

Communication Disorders: Barbara Myers, a graduate student working with Dr. Suzanne Swift.

English: Courtney Foley, an undergraduate student working with Jonathan Wilson, and Laura Holder a graduate student working with Dr. Linda Sumption.
