Community Fan Drive under way

The Print Shop, High Desert Honda and United Way of Eastern New Mexico are sponsoring Community Fan Drive 2008 from June to September.
Many older individuals and families with small children sit in sweltering houses during hot New Mexico summers without air conditioning or even a fan, according to a United Way news release. The goal is to help 100 households with donated cooling equipment.
Drop off new or gently used fans and/or window air conditioners between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to:
Portales
• The Print Shop, 1101 E. Third St.
Clovis
• United Way of Eastern New Mexico, 215 N. Main
• High Desert Honda, 200 N, Prince St.
If you need a fan, call 2-1-1 or 935-0211.
