WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Sophomore forward Alicia Cunningham scored in the 23rd minute, and Eastern New Mexico University’s women made it stand up for a 1-0 Lone Star Conference victory over Southwestern Oklahoma on Sunday.

It was the first road win of the season for the Zias (1-5). Freshman goalkeeper Sierra Cardenas made six saves for ENMU (8-6, 2-3 LSC) to earn her second shutout of the season.

Cunningham got her fourth goal of the season after taking a pass from freshman midfielder Kim Luna and beating Bulldogs keeper Becky Hilterbran in a one-on-one situation.

ENMU, 7-1 at home, plays its final home matches of the season this weekend, taking on LSC foes Texas A&M-Commerce at 3 p.m. Friday and Texas Woman’s at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
