Eat, drink and be merry — and raise money for a good cause. That’s the message from promoters of the Portales MainStreet Winter Wine Fest.

The admission price of $25 includes a wine glass, samples of all wines offered, one full glass of wine and gourmet food all evening, said City of Portales Community Affairs Coordinator Nicole Wilkening. Proceeds go to the Portales MainStreet program.

Wilkening expects St. Clair Vineyards of Deming to provide eight to 10 varieties of wine. Participants can purchase bottles or additional glasses.
