Library hosts women’s history speaker

Women’s studies expert Rosemary Keefe is scheduled to present “Mabel Dodge Luhan in Taos” in a Chautauqua performance at noon March 20 in the meeting room of the Portales Public Library. A brunch precedes the performance at 11 a.m.

In conjunction with the program, the library is hosting a show of quilts made by local women.

The events are free to the public.

Luhan moved from New York to Taos in 1917 and later married a member of the Taos Pueblo.
