The Roosevelt County Commission has voted to investigate the cost of reinstalling 10 parking spaces on the Second Street side of the County Courthouse parking lot.
At its meeting Tuesday in the courthouse, Commissioners Paul Grider, Bill Cathey and Jake Lopez voted to check into the cost. Commissioners Gene Creighton and David Sanders voted against the measure.
The issue arose after Second Street business owners across from the courthouse complained that parking spaces being shifted to other sides of the lot hurt their businesses.
At the meeting, County Manager Charlene Hardin said she had an estimate of just more than $30,500 for five or six spaces to be reinstalled.
