Portales woman faces multiple drug charges

Irisema Hernandez, 26, was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute and possession of heroin, all felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, according to a Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Hernandez was booked into the Roosevelt County Detention Center and was being held on a $106,500 bond Monday night.

The arrest came after members of the sheriff’s office and the Portales Police Department executed a search warrant at her house in the 700 block of South Main Street. Hernandez, another woman and a child were inside the residence and, according to the release, a search turned up “narcotics, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, a firearm and a large amount of U.S. currency.”
