A sampling of calls received by the Portales Police Department from Sept. 28-Oct. 1.

Sept. 28

• 5:33 p.m., caller in the 1000 block of North Abilene reported the mother of his children was not letting him pick up his kids. No incident report filed.

• 8:19 p.m., caller in the 1000 block of West Second Street was just involved in a hit-and-run incident. Officer took report.

Sept. 29

• 3:46 p.m., caller at 100 block of East Second Street said her black and white colored dog ran out of her car while parked at the bank.

• 5:16 p.m., caller reported that someone tried to break into a back window of residence in the 1700 block of South Main.

Sept. 30

• 10:52 a.m., caller in the 100 block of North Indio complained her neighbor poured cement and got it all over her vehicle. No incident report filed.

• 2:35 p.m., caller in the 1200 block of West Maple reported a stray dog was stuck under his car.

• 8:23 p.m., caller in the 1200 block of West Date reported a residence burglary in progress and added a small red car was seen leaving the residence and spotted on Highway 70 heading toward Clovis at a high rate of speed.

Oct. 1

• 4:44 p.m., caller in the 1700 block of South Avenue C requested an officer, saying her husband kicked the car while they were fighting.

• 10:09 p.m., caller in the 700 block of South Main said someone stole his bike and had also attempted to steal his dog
