RGH looking to replace retiring administrator

Roosevelt General Hospital Board is looking into the many ways available to find a replacement for retiring Hospital Administrator James D’Agostino.

Covenant Health System has already posted the announcement for the position on its Web site, and the hospital is posting it internally for the staff to consider.

At the board meeting Tuesday, board Chairman Terry Cone said since the hospital has been running the ad for a new nurse director, the post for a new administrator should run in the newspaper.

“We can post the position on the Web, which is normally what we do,” D’Agostino said.

Covenant representative David Shaw handed out a copy of the post that appears on the Web site. D’Agostino wanted to know if there was anything that the board wanted to put into the posting for the administrator position.

“We’ve gotten a lot of calls here asking about the job,” D’Agostino said. “We’ve been referring them to David. We’re channeling everything that way.”

In other business, the board:

• heard the financial report.

• approved physician credentialing.
