Hospital board shows profit

Roosevelt General Hospital is showing a $656,000 profit, but revenues are down for December.

Chief Financial Officer Eva Stevens told the hospital board Tuesday the holidays are hard on the hospital revenue.

“Nobody wants to pay their bills during the holiday season,” Stevens said.

Stevens said expenses for the hospital were normal.

Interim Director of Nursing Tawnya Burton also asked the board what information it wanted to receive from nursing services.

Board Chairman Terry Cone said reports the service has provided in the past would suffice.

“I would like to see those continue,” Cone said. “If somebody else has any additional reports we can get them back to you later.”

The board also:

• Approved physician credentialing.

• Approved the 2010 schedule of meetings.
