A sampling of calls Portales dispatchers received Jan. 8 throught Jan. 15, according to call logs: Jan. 8: • At 4:24 p.m. dispatchers sent officers to investigate an open 911 line. They were told that for the past few days, the caller’s dog had been sitting on the phone, which then dialed 911.
